Applying Library Research Skills
You have already selected your current health care problem or issue from the provided options for this assignment. Research your topic, and develop an annotated bibliography documenting your resources. Reminder: Your selected problem or issue will be used again in the Week 9 assignment. The purpose of an annotated bibliography is to document a list of research references, along with key information about each; the detail about the reference is the annotation. Developing this annotated bibliography will create a foundation of knowledge about your chosen problem or issue.
If you would like assistance in organizing your assignment, or if you simply have a question about your assignment, please do not hesitate to ask your instructor or the NHS Learner Success Lab teaching assistants for guidance and suggestions. If you would like writing assistance, you can ask your instructor for a referral to a writing coach.
Prepare
You were introduced to this assignment in Weeks 2 and 3, where you were asked to conduct research in the Capella library to find a total of four scholarly, peer-reviewed articles in relation to your selected health care problem or issue for your annotated bibliography. If you do not have three articles located at this point, make sure you to so you can develop your annotated bibliography. Conduct a library search and refer to the appropriate library guide for your program, as needed (the Health Care Administration Undergraduate Library Research Guide, Public Health Undergraduate Library Research Guide, or the Nursing (BSN) Library Research Guide). Review journal articles published within the past three years.
