Among the three journal entries, there is a link to cultural aspects that influence people/community interactions from different backgrounds. For instance, the first entry that focuses on the sociological social psychology provides content that shows changes in perspective developed due to two cultures with significantly different ways of life meet and recreates new symbols and images of humanity. The new recreation has unique characteristics, and the previous society has challenges interacting and accepting them as part of society. The journal entry about sociological emotion explains why it is difficult for people to cope with one another, especially in a new environment or new culture. This article explains how an individual in an environment with rapid changes (a restaurant) try to adjust their psychological mentality to form a flexible adjustment/coping mechanism during interaction with people from different backgrounds. This article helps to understand why people are likely to make a wrong judgment about others and how this can influence the values that an individual can get from others. For instance, a restaurant may fail to be profitable because the employees negatively judge customers. The article links the misjudgment perspective with emotional consequences to an individual. It helps to understand the negative impact (discrimination) related to misunderstanding cultural differences like physical appearance, ways of life, and changes. The third article emphasizes socialization as an approach to effective cross-cultural and multi-cultural interaction that enhances an individual understanding of the environment and changes and allows them to overcome cultural differences such as discrimination. Before going through these entries, my focuses were generally on looking at society as a culture that has people understand one another. Still, now I have realized that society is consists of multiple cultures that socialized to understand and learn about one another. With this in mind, I plan to study how socialization supports multiculturalism and overcome inherent challenges such as discrimination (Pieterse & Collins, 2007).
